Ayrshire food network food offerings were on display last week at a European rural development conference near Liege ..They were noted and commented on most positively by many of the 180 delegates from 17 countries

Ayrshire food network produce in Poland as part of Transnational TORE visit
Very recently produce from 10 Ayrshire producers was presented as part of the TORE (TASTES OF RURAL EUROPE PROJECT)..
They were shown off near Krakow in Taste Ayrshire Leader part funded hampers .
the reactions were very positive and our Polish hosts will do doubt very soon provide feedback after sampling the food, drink and festive offerings ?

Saturday 16th sees the reopening of # Kilmarnock #farmers' market for the 2013 season.

There is scheduled to be a very wide variety of locally sourced food including lamb, beef, pork ,veal ,venison, bacon, steak pies,black pudding, frozen chicken,soups ,chutneys,hand made chocolates, preserves, Ayrshire honey,.free range hen and duck eggs, gluten free savouries and cakes, vegetarian food , home baking jams and marmalades ,cow and goats cheeses,non homogenised milk ,Ayrshire rapeed oil ,hand made confections,cloutie dumplings , waxed and flavoured cheeses, farmhouse ice creams and sorbets, very fresh "dirty " root vegetables!! and cabbages etc , plus organic shampoos and soaps.
Next month we are expecting the re- arrival of the local micro brewery, plants , plus the return of Fair trade in April
