 This weekend has seen an innovative   event   bringing together for the first time, under one roof    award winning  Christmas trees grown  here  in Ayrshire, and local  Ayrshire food network  producers & crafters

it is running  both Saturday and Sunday  /located   at the Craig Wilson  Auction  Mart  on the  A70-- 2 Miles  to the east of Ayr   timing 11.00-16.00

a wide selection of artisan  food  will be available   including Cedar  Country Foods; Nethergate larder:Petrie fine foods  with their   Christmas  puddings ,black bun, and gluten free  vegetarian specialities : Dunlop dairy cheeses; Stark rapeseed oil ;local honey ; Aye love real food Scotch eggs ;Everything Chilli relishes ; the freshest vegetables  etc etc

Taste Ayrshire TORE hampers at European conference

Ayrshire food network food offerings  were on display last week at a  European rural development conference  near  Liege  ..They were  noted and  commented  on  most positively by many  of the  180 delegates from 17 countries

where will they go next ?

The aroma of the  Ayrshire roasted #Roundsquare  coffee beans caused quite a stir ;  so too the #Petrie Fine Foods # Christmas pudding which was presented to the organisors ! We look forward to their feedback   

Busy local food weekend to start the festive season in Paisley & Alloway

This weekend sees  the start of the pre Xmas  season. for  serious food   buying (hopefully ).
#Ayrshire food network members will be out in force  at various   key events   including  the# Paisley #farmers' market   Saturday  30th  at the   Cenotaph  in the high street 10.00-14.00 , and # Burns  Birthplace museum #Alloway  #farmers 'market  in doors   on Sunday December  1st   11.00-15.00.

a very wide range of produce  will be available on Saturday  whilst on Sunday there will be an excellent array of festive produce  including #Petrie #Christmas  puddings, cakes and black bun  , Lime tree Larder chocolates  , selected  house plants , organic  #Caurnie soaps,  Dunlop cheeses  ,#Stark rape seed oil ,#Everything chilli  relishes and the wonderful  freshly  locally roasted #Roundsquare   coffee and beans

Both  markets are  very  much worth a visit  easpecially as the  #Taste  Ayrshire#TORE  hamper boxes  will be available to buy  on either  a DIY  basis  or  complete   with selected  local food items or #Burns  related  items   according  to your budgets

Ayrshire food network produce in Poland as part of Transnational TORE visit

 Very recently  produce   from  10  Ayrshire  producers was presented  as part of  the TORE (TASTES OF RURAL EUROPE PROJECT)..

They were shown off  near Krakow  in Taste Ayrshire Leader  part funded hampers .

 the reactions  were very positive    and our  Polish hosts  will do doubt very soon provide feedback  after  sampling the food, drink  and festive offerings ?
the  cheeses  were enjoyed  before   dinner !

 The  much awaited Aye Love Real Food   venture  arrives Saturday1st June  at the  accredited  AFM  cooperative farmers' market  at the    Kyle  Centre car park courtyyard in Ayr   timing 09.00-13.00

Fresh local food at Paisley farmers'market for holiday weekend

 A bright sunny day in #Paisley  this Saturday  will see the return of  the  farmers' market.

. Over 24 producers will be represented  on the scheduled 16 stalls ...including  lamb ,beef, highland beef pork ,fresh fish and seafood, specialist  baking and breads,vegetables &new season Scottish tomatoes,strawberries,herbs,plants,nuts and olives,local ales,venison, bacon,pies, free range chicken,balsamic dressings ,soups,chutneys,honeys,hen ,goose quail  and duck eggs, gluten free savouries& cakes ,vegetarian food, goat and cows cheeses,non homogenised milk,rapeseed oil,organic vegetables  home baking  and bespoke cakes ,confections,clootie dumplings  and flavoured cheeses ..

Farmers' markets in Kilmarnock & Alloway this weekend

 A double  hit is  scheduled this weekend  with   the Ayrshire farmers market  due in   Kilmarnock  on Saturday  at the Cross   post code  KA11LR . Timing  09.00-13.00    with   13 stallholders  representing 22 producers .

 this month's  Highlights will include new season  Scottish strawberries,and tomatoes plus the  very welcome addition of  fresh fish and seafood ,plus Ayr  Microbrewery .You are  sure of  a warm welcome  throughout the market  so we look forward to welcoming  you .

On Sunday  the action moves to the  garden  of the Burns Birthplace Museum  in Alloway  post code  KA74PQ, where  as part of a  NTS   garden celebration,10  Ayrshire  farmers' market stalls representing 17   producers will be  trading from within  the museum garden  . Trading hours of the market will be  11.00-15.00.  Also  there will be available  information  and  prototypes of  the TORE (Tastes of Rural  Europe) LEADER  funded Ayrshire Experience Box .
