Aye Love Real Food arrives at Ayr farmers' market

 The  much awaited Aye Love Real Food   venture  arrives Saturday1st June  at the  accredited  AFM  cooperative farmers' market  at the    Kyle  Centre car park courtyyard in Ayr   timing 09.00-13.00

Come and find out how the local ingredients  and seasonal  fresh vegetables  sold at the market  have been put to exciting use to create traditional Scottish dishes  with  a modern twist.

Breakfast food will be available !

 Local Produce   from 18 producers will be found  on 14 stalls  including Fairtade.

TASTE AYRSHIRE OPEN MEETING MAY 30TH -TROON

You are warmly invited  to participate  in the Taste  Ayrshire  Open Meeting   on Thursday 30th May   between  17.30 for 18.00 until 19.30  at The  Lochgreen  House  Hotel  Troon   KA10 7EN .

This is a free event with cash bar afterwards 

The objective of the meeting  is to review  Taste Ayrshire's  progress so far  and gather inputs  and ideas for the next 12 months

Fresh local food at Paisley farmers'market for holiday weekend

 A bright sunny day in #Paisley  this Saturday  will see the return of  the  farmers' market.

. Over 24 producers will be represented  on the scheduled 16 stalls ...including  lamb ,beef, highland beef pork ,fresh fish and seafood, specialist  baking and breads,vegetables &new season Scottish tomatoes,strawberries,herbs,plants,nuts and olives,local ales,venison, bacon,pies, free range chicken,balsamic dressings ,soups,chutneys,honeys,hen ,goose quail  and duck eggs, gluten free savouries& cakes ,vegetarian food, goat and cows cheeses,non homogenised milk,rapeseed oil,organic vegetables  home baking  and bespoke cakes ,confections,clootie dumplings  and flavoured cheeses ..

There is also an excellent BBQ!

So something for all taste buds!  come and meet the producers,hear their  stories  and plan a farm visit  if you can.

We can certainly recommend some excellent places to eat and stay in Ayrshire

Farmers' markets in Kilmarnock & Alloway this weekend

 A double  hit is  scheduled this weekend  with   the Ayrshire farmers market  due in   Kilmarnock  on Saturday  at the Cross   post code  KA11LR . Timing  09.00-13.00    with   13 stallholders  representing 22 producers .

 this month's  Highlights will include new season  Scottish strawberries,and tomatoes plus the  very welcome addition of  fresh fish and seafood ,plus Ayr  Microbrewery .You are  sure of  a warm welcome  throughout the market  so we look forward to welcoming  you .

On Sunday  the action moves to the  garden  of the Burns Birthplace Museum  in Alloway  post code  KA74PQ, where  as part of a  NTS   garden celebration,10  Ayrshire  farmers' market stalls representing 17   producers will be  trading from within  the museum garden  . Trading hours of the market will be  11.00-15.00.  Also  there will be available  information  and  prototypes of  the TORE (Tastes of Rural  Europe) LEADER  funded Ayrshire Experience Box .

With  lots happening  in Alloway certainly the place to be  .

locally sourced Ayrshire food returns to Largs Yacht Haven

 Sunday  May  12th    sees the return  of the Ayrshire farmers' market  to Largs Yacht Haven  ..timing 10.00-14.00......You are warmly invited to come and meet the producers ,hear  the stories behind the   fresh local  quality products ,where practical taste,and buy quality produce  thereby supporting the local rural economy

  You can certainly make half  a day of it  by enjoying  a brisk coastal walk ,preceded  or followed by enjoyable relaxing meal   at the yacht haven or in Largs itself ..

We are delighted to confirm  the award  winning  Ayr microbrewery  will be present  for the first time, and we look forward to welcoming you .

Scottish Tomatoes at Ayr farmers' market

May time brings  new season vegetables  to Ayr  farmers market.. the cold weather may have delayed things .but they  are worth waiting for !.. Along with local  lamb ,highland beef,rare breeds pork,fresh fish and seafood, and chicken,  they will make quite a line up. Add in excellent home baking,vegetarian and gluten free food ,Ayrshire rapeseed oil ,local award winning cheeses, non homogenised  milk ,local  CAMRA award winning  ales, honeys, exquisite chocolates, relishes  hen, duck and goose eggs  flavoursome sourdough breads,wild garlic,excellent  Fair trade products and  amazing  soaps  ..  the result is an exciting  place to meet producers ,hear the stories behind the produce ,and buy  fresh  high quality loacl food
